Autumn Term 1 - October 2016
We have had lots of fun this half term and can't believe how well our new Reception children have settled in. The Year 1 children in class have all been excellent role models. We have had such a busy term getting to know each other, making new friends and learning all about school life. One of our favourite days was celebrating Roald Dahl's 100th birthday by dressing up as characters from his amazing books. We also enjoyed a visit from a dental hygienist who told us how to take care of our teeth. Come and take a look at what we have been getting up to.
Spring 2 - March 2016 - Topic 'Animals'
We have been very busy this half term learning about animals and where in the world they come from. Reception have enjoyed learning about 'Pushes and Pulls' and Year One have been learning about 'Materials'. We loved taking part in World Book Day where we all came to school dressed as colourful crayons and spent the day looking at the story 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt and we were absolutely amazed by our visiting Maths Magician. Phew! What a busy half term we have had!
Spring 1 - January 2016 - Snow Fun
Class 1 and Mr McGoldrick REALLY enjoyed exploring and playing in the snow. We even threw snowballs at Mrs Rielly's office window!
Spring Term 1 - January 2016

Autumn 2 - November 2015 - Fire Engine Visit
We were so lucky to have Ulverston Fire Service come to school today to teach us about fire safety and about the very important job they do to keep us safe.
Autumn 2 - December 2015
In the second half of the Autumn Term our topic is 'Fire'. So far we have enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London, painting pictures, creating flames, playing in our outdoor role play area and comparing London in 1666 to London today. We even had a visit from Brian the Baker who showed us how to make bread.
Autumn 1 - October 2015
In the first half of the Autumn term our topic was 'Ourselves and Our School'. As part of this topic we have looked at the life and work of Pablo Picasso. We read the fantastic book 'Picasso's Trousers' and created our own self portrait masterpieces. We even made a delicious healthy 'Picasso Pizza'. Here are a few examples of our work.
