School Games Gold Award

This year we are delighted to announce that our school achieved Gold School Games award for 2022/23. All pupils and teachers are very proud of our achievement.

Our Sports Leaders

Our Sports Leaders 2023/24 have completed their training and are now delivering active play sessions for the infant children during play times. 

Canoeing

Year 2,4 and 6 all take part in canoeing sessions at different points throughout the year.

Guided Walks 

All children have the opportunity to take part in guided walks around our local area. Each class will do this at different points throughout the year.

Sophie Carrigill - British Basketball Player

We had a visit from Sophie Carrigill, one of our inspirational athletes, to tell us all about Wheelchair Basketball and how her career has gone from strength to strength. Her speech was very inspirational and the children loved to see her medals that she has won. (June 2023) 

Panathlon 

2024 Panathlon Competition. St. Mary's were thrilled to come second place.

Wheelchair Basketball Day

We had a visit from Nat and his team at Inclusive Sport. Nat delivered a workshop to all children on how to play wheelchair basketball.
